Question by linds: Are there ANY decent hotels in or around Myrtle Beach that a 20 year old can check into?
My boyfriend and I are planning to take a small vacation to Myrtle Beach this summer but we’re from Ohio and have no family there so we are in need of a hotel. The only problem is that with all of my sesrches the smallest age check-in requirement I have found for hotels there is 21. We will both be 20 by the time of our vacation…. :/

I think you can check into ANY hotel/motel anywhere as long as you are 18 years old and have a credit card. You MUST have a credit card and it has to be in the name of the person staying there (it cannot be in the name of your parents); this became standard operating procedure for hotels/motels after 9-11 for security purposes. I imagine it also helps to prevent people from leaving without paying their bill in it’s entirety. You might have to double check on the age requirements, but I think 18 years old is acceptable.
