There is the Family Kingdom Amusement Park, Nascar Cafe and Race Park, Myrtle Beach Speedway, Alligator Adventure, Myrtle Waves, dinner theatres such as Dolly Pardon's Dixie Stampede. Also, there is Ripleys Museum, Horror Theatre, and Aquarium. MB has something for everyone, and is a great vacation destination.
Roller skate near the beach. My sister and brother-in-law lived there for a while and enjoyed the sun and fresh air.
Some great attractions are Nascar SpeedPark, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, Planet Hollywood, Ripley's Aquarium, Ripley's 4-D Adventure, Atlantis Putt-Putt golfing, The Dixie Stampede, and Deep Sea Fishing with the Hurricane Fleet, to name a few. Some Awesome places to eat are Bejamin's Original Calabash Seafood, The Filling Station (Pizza), and T-Bones (at Barefoot Landing). I hope that this info has helped you. I have been to Myrtle Beach every year for my whole life (litterally, i went first when i was 6-months old), so i know my way around pretty well. Have a great trip!

Search here for cheap hotels , flights and car rentals

It provides search option like near a landmark etc

But beware ... cheap hotels can be trouble some times so check reviews of the hotel you are going to book.

Check the exact location of hotel from google maps.

Surfside Beach and Garden City are very nice.
North Myrtle Beach is also very nice too. Vanna White was born there.

Carolina Beach & Kure Beach are up my way. I live 80 miles from Myrtle beach in Wrightsville Beach, NC.

But if you wanna be close to Myrtle Beach, I'd pick Surfside Beach or Garden City. They are also in Horry county. They are both about 8 miles from Myrtle Beach.

Another WET DREAM... you AREN'T OLD ENOUGH to begin with.. and to get even the most BASIC Captain's license you need to be able to PROVE that you have spent 365 DAYS on the WATER in the past 10 years... and that is just for a 25 ton license.. to get anything higher you need to PROVE you have at least ONE YEAR of experience out of the previous THREE years.

In order to get ANY CAPTAIN'S LICENSE.. you need to be very GOOD at MATH because you have to take a WRITTEN TEST and one section is on NAVIGATION.. which is the part of the test where all the wet dreams get left at the dock because THAT ONE IS HARD TO PASS.

You can't get a license to become a captain of a ship - you have to start at the bottom, put in sea time, and take exams to earn your license upgrades. Depending on where you want to begin, there are several good schools all around the nation (Maritime colleges, Paul Hall, etc) where you can get training and take your exams. You will need a license from the USCG, a TWIC card from DHS, a Z card, etc. Do a search on Merchant Marine qualifications.

The very description of a captain implies ability and eagerness to travel; if you want to limit yourself to Myrtle Beach, pretty much the only way you can be the captain of your own ship in Myrtle beach is to buy a canoe and call yourself captain.

I've been to Myrtle Beach Pavilion several times. The last time I was there was in 2004. I thought they were going to move it to Broadway At The Beach, or somewhere near there. I may be wrong though, because I have not heard any thing else about it since I was there 2 years ago.

I spent every summer at Myrtle Beach while I was 10-17. Needless to say, I spent many summer nights at The Pavilion. You could never go wrong with the roller coaster. I believe the owners are on the right track. The baby boomers made the Pavilion so popular. I'm 34, and anyone my age that's been to MB has been to the Pavilion. The problem is....those my age have never taken our kids there. It's because the area is not attractive to families anymore. What should they do with the land? Develop into high rise condo's/hotel. A building that will become recognizalble anywhere.
