Question by nemo: How to get from clemson to myrtle beach?
I need a to find a ride from clemson to myrtle beach…any suggestions

Answer by Ryan H
Use the Clemson ride board. I’m sure it’s not an actual board anymore but something online, but when I was a student there were postings every week of people who needed rides or were offering rides.

What is there fun to do at Myrtle Beach?
Question by Mia Sicigaci: What is there fun to do at Myrtle Beach?
I am going to Myrtle Beach Saturday. What is fun there to do?

Answer by CoachT
Swim in the ocean! Lay on the sand! Check out the beach! It’s what 14 million people per year come here to do.
You could go hang at one of the malls, visit a museum, nap in a hotel room, etc… but you can do those things anywhere.
The “fun” thing to do in Myrtle Beach is to go to the beach. You’d be amazed how many people come here and forget to do that. Instead they waste a day cruising in our traffic or shopping in our mall. You can do that at home and not spend as much.
http://www.thesunnews.com/kicks-online/ is what’s going on in Myrtle Beach. Good for finding things to do if nice warm ocean water isn’t to your liking.

Q&A: Im vacationing to myrtle beach for a weekend, will I need a rental car? Also where is the best hotel to stay?
Question by tnpark17: Im vacationing to myrtle beach for a weekend, will I need a rental car? Also where is the best hotel to stay?
I have never been to myrtle beach, and I dont mind taking cabs or buses but would it be cheaper to just get a rental car? I dont want to venture off the “boardwalk” much or leave the beach too often. What fun activities are there to do?
Best answer:
Answer by landersonjr1958
Rent a car, its cheaper than cabs. Broadway at the Beach is fun, Ripley’s aquariums is very cool ( the believe it or not museum is not). You might catch a Pelicans game (baseball), and the beach isn’t so bad either.

Pros and Cons of living in Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and Myrtle Beach?
Question by Dawn C: Pros and Cons of living in Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and Myrtle Beach?
We are considering moving from the Indianapolis area to Virginia Beach, VA, Williamsburg, VA or Myrtle Beach, SC. Can you give us the pros and cons of these places? We have 3 children a teenager and 2 others that are in elementary school
If you are against one place or another please give reasons why.
Thanks

Answer by Freddy Fuhktarred
If you have kids, you don’t want to live in Myrtle Beach. Period.
VA beach traffic is a mess during the summers. The schools are fairly good. Its not a bad place to raise a family. The costs are somewhat reasonable.
Williamsburg is a great place to raise a family, imo better than VA Beach but its kind of pricey. Great schools. It’s kind of a classy kind of place, a little more upscale than VA Beach.
But VA Beach has more things to do than Williamsburg. If you like the beach, you should move to VA beach.
Whatever you do, don’t move to Myrtle Beach.
edit: city-data.com has some really good information about this kind of thing

Historic Sites
Wineries & Breweries
Museums
Theme Parks & Zoos
Shopping
Caverns

Here’s a link for everything to do in Richmond + surrounding areas: http://www.virginia.org/
It’s not quite half way only about 70 miles south of D.C. infact.
Another Place you could stop at is Lake Gaston. It’s right at the border of Virginia and NC and is right next Interstate 95. Quick and easy stop for a little.
Here’s a link to Lake Gatson: http://www.lakegastonchamber.com/
Or take a stop in Croatan National Forest, it’s a little out of your way and not on Interstate 95 but it will be a great destination. It is right next to the Atlantic Ocean and is one of the biggest National Forests in NC. Infact it’s 160,000 acres.
In Croatan National Forest there is-

The Croatan National Forest is about 100 miles north of Myrtle Beach. If you go there you can just drive down route 17 and you’ll be in Myrtle Beach in a few hours.
I hope you have a fun trip and I hope I helped. If you have any more questions feel free to message me.

Question by Tricia: What time to leave from Central PA to Myrtle Beach, SC?
I am thinking about leaving at midnight to travel from Central PA to Myrtle Beach. It will be my husband and I, a 6 year old, 5 year old, an an 18 month old. We want to beat as much traffic as possible. Looking for suggestions when we should leave and what routes to take.

Answer by pearlblackharley@yahoo.com
i agree since the small children, it will be cooler on them also and they can sleep for the most part. me i would travel interstate 81,74,77 then into the beach, longer route but quicker.check google earth it may help you decide, but central penn sounds like an easy 81 start, and since it is heavy with heavy trucks, night travel is best as they are thinner and many sleeping as they ran there hours out during the day, hope that helps and good luck,be carefull

Question by montana girl: where is a good place to get a Brazilian Wax in Myrtle Beach? Not too expensive and fast prefered?
I had a waxer in Montana that did my brazilian waxes in under a half an hour and only charged $ 45. I don’t expect to find that price in Myrtle Beach but I do want someone that knows what they are doing and don’t take forever.

Q&A: Are there any schools in Myrtle Beach SC where I can get a licence to become a captain of a ship?
Question by Ryan: Are there any schools in Myrtle Beach SC where I can get a licence to become a captain of a ship?
What are the requirements?
Do you have to have a high school diploma to start?
What age do you have to be?
And, does it cost a lot to take classes to learn how to become a captain?
And it has to be in Myrtle Beach please.
Thanks

Answer by tom
It depends on the size of ship you want to command. For an unlimited tonnage vessel on the ocean, you can’t get it in Myrtle Beach. You have to be at least 21 years old, but it’s likely you’ll be much older before you qualify. A high school diploma is not required but a lot of very high level education and experience is. You don’t just become a captain. There are a lot of stepping stone levels along the way. Check out www.mainemaritime.edu.
