I have never been to myrtle beach, and I dont mind taking cabs or buses but would it be cheaper to just get a rental car? I dont want to venture off the “boardwalk” much or leave the beach too often. What fun activities are there to do?

Rent a car, its cheaper than cabs. Broadway at the Beach is fun, Ripley’s aquariums is very cool ( the believe it or not museum is not). You might catch a Pelicans game (baseball), and the beach isn’t so bad either.

I go every year myself.
I like the cheap happy hour at Dirty Don’s Oyster Bar. I even use the free coupon. I like Margaritaville and Carolina Roadhouse. My fave place to calabash is the Original Benjamin’s (the one on restaurant row).
I like to stay at the Dayton House. I also like Holiday Inn at Pavilion.
My fave place to hang out is at the Pier14 having cold beers at the bar and listening t Robert Cooper. He is great.
My fave shopping place is this mineral store out at Barefoot Landing. They have cool jewelry that makes for cheap souvenirs. I go to this store every year. I also love walking around Broadway at the Beach. Rack Room Shoes usually draws me in. lol.

Myrtle beach is nice anytime. Not much of a party scene, more family scene.

Me and some of my family and friends are going to the myrtle beach for a wholee week(: which im reallyyyy happy about (obviously) we usually go in june butt this time we can): theres just toooo much stuff we gotta do so were going July 4 – July 11. I like MB when its crowded ya know the whole crazy party scene. So my question is how is MB in july? anyway thanks!

The same way it is in June. Crowded, overpriced, and impossible to get around. I’m glad we stay away from May through September.

We’ll probably have 4-5 of us. We are just finishing college and want to go party. Myrtle Beach is probably the northernmost beach that has nightlife and college students that will be warm enough by early May.
Where are the best hotels that a lot of young partiers stay at? Also, will there be people there at this time?

I stayed a beautiful Condo called Avista Resorts. You get all the services of a hotel (maid service…beds made, soap, towels, etc.). I think they are private blocks of rooms that Avista rents out to people. It also includes TV, dishwasher, microwave, stove, frig and washer/dryer. Coffee, sugar etc. is dropped off every a.m. for you to make your own. Clean, good service, 2 hot tubs outside, 1 inside…..gym, towels for pool, beautiful beaches & view. We paid $ 232.00 U.S. each for 9 days. We went close to the last week in Oct. Look them up on the web. Make sure that you put Avista Resorts (South Carolina). You will be able to see pictures there. I will definitely go back to this resort.

Im looking for a really nice hotel/resort in Myrtle Beach. We need somewhere with a golf course and tennis court and very close to the beach. Maybe a swim up bar?

I don’t think swim up bars are allowed in Myrtle Beach as are outdoor kiosks by the pools. Anyway, I’ve heard the Sea Mist is a large resort type place but, I’ve never stayed there. We usually stay at the Patricia Grand hotel, right on the beach. Both places do offer golf packages but, don’t have a course on the grounds. I’m not aware of any resorts that have their own courses but, if they are there it would be up in the stratosphere price wise.

Also Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort looks nice. It’s a bit south of Myrtle Beach near Pawleys Island.
